Clippers Owner Donald Sterling’s Controversial Remarks Caught on Tape [Full Audio]

Just a few short days ago the internet erupted as TMZ released a recording allegedly of  Donald Sterling telling his half-Black and Latino girl friend, “he does NOT want her bringing black people to his games … including Magic Johnson”.

The recorded conversation not only exposed Donald Sterling’s feelings of his girl friends associates but it unfortunately shed further light on the awful ideologies of “the world” permeating his mind.

In the extended version of the tape attained by DeadSpin, Sterling goes on to make reference of how blacks are viewed around the world and proceeds to tell his girl friend more about the “culture” of the world we live in and his need to be with someone who understands him.

DS: It’s the world! You go to Israel, the blacks are just treated like dogs.

V: So do you have to treat them like that too?

DS: The white Jews, there’s white Jews and black Jews, do you understand?

V: And are the black Jews less than the white Jews?

DS: A hundred percent, fifty, a hundred percent.

V: And is that right?

DS: It isn’t a question—we don’t evaluate what’s right and wrong, we live in a society. We live in a culture. We have to live within that culture.

V: But shouldn’t we take a stand for what’s wrong? And be the change and the difference?

DS: I don’t want to change the culture, because I can’t. It’s too big and too [unknown].

V: But you can change yourself.

DS: I don’t want to change. If my girl can’t do what I want, I don’t want the girl. I’ll find a girl that will do what I want! Believe me. I thought you were that girl—because I tried to do what you want. But you’re not that girl.

What culture is he speaking of? One that discriminates against individuals based on their skin tone?

The hurtful and despicable remarks made by Sterling have taken a lot of focus off of the Clippers and all the hard work put into getting the team to the playoffs.

During Sunday nights game —in spite of Sterling’s awful remarks— the Clippers stood together as a team in silent protest by turning their team issued uniform jersey’s inside out and throwing their warm ups on the court.

The Clippers players are under legal contract so contrary to popular belief they can not simply boycott the game.

There was a dark cloud looming over the Oracle Arena yesterday as the Clippers fought against the Golden State Warriors and lost, 97 – 118 in Game 4.

What are your thoughts on the controversial remarks made by Sterling? Let us know what you think. Chime in below.
